"Papyrus can be placed anywhere but will not grow anywhere." "A papyrus on dirt or a grass block which is not further away from water than three node lengths slowly grows three additional papyri (blocks) above it."

Aren't these two statements contradicting? I can confirm that in the vanilla Minetest 0.4.9 with v6 world generator, papyrus does in fact grow when placed near water.
