Papyrus (sometimes incorrectly called “Sugar Cane”, “Reeds” or “Bamboo”) is a tall plant which can be found directly above ocean level. In most mapgens, papyrus can only be found in shallow water in savanna shore biomes. In the v6 mapgen, it occours on top of dirt with grass next to water at sea level.
It can be crafted into paper. When a papyrus block is mined, all connected papyrus blocks directly above it are automatically mined as well. Papyrus can be placed anywhere.
