Dirt with Grass blocks are found naturally above ground. Grass will grow on dirt if it is exposed to sunlight or bright light after some time. It can be mined by a shovel; the hand also works, but much slower. When mined, the player receives an ordinary dirt.
Trees, flowers, grass, dry grass, and jungle grass grow on it. Grass blocks can be made into soil using a hoe.
A dirt with grass block cannot be obtained by the player legitimately, only by using the /give or /giveme server commands.
This block will turn back into regular dirt if it stands too long in the shadow.
